From A Family Vision To A Growing Miami Brand
The Story Behind Distraction Yachts
The story began with Yelitza Peraza, a Miami native who grew up boating and exploring the city’s waterways. After beginning her career as a yacht stewardess at 19, she gained firsthand industry experience and developed a vision for creating more personal and memorable charter experiences.
In 2022, Yelitza and her family launched Distraction Yachts with two yachts. Today, the company has grown to eight private yachts, a team of more than 30 people, and thousands of charters hosted across Miami’s waterways.
